Hands On Toys asked us to develop a name and packaging system for their new "bendy" building toys that helped launch a new look in the specialty toy industry.
The toy industry had never seen anything like it. Predictable toy packaging always included an image of a kid playing with the toy. Big Blue Dot knew that this box needed to use every inch to reveal this toy, so our concept included beautiful oversized photographs of the toy against a white background. The boxes themselves were tubes, hexagons, squares and exaggerated rectangles developed to accommodate different price points.
